About Peripatetic Endodontics
Meet Dr. Baran
Ronald B Baran, DDS PC
Hello, my name is Ron Baran, and I travel among dental offices to do the root canals that the other practitioners care not to do. I do that because I've always enjoyed doing root canals and running a general practice kept taking me away from my endo.
Okay, I’ll fess up. I enjoy root canals because I go into what psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi referred to as “The Flow,” and what Michael Jordan called “The Zone.” It’s that place you go when you are so involved in something that you lose track of time.
A little background – I was born and raised in Chicago, did my undergraduate work at Loyola, my DDS at Loyola’s dental school, my MBA at Keller Graduate School, and my MA in counseling psychology at Roosevelt U. All this while running multiple offices. I am, it seems, allergic to tranquility.
If you click here, you’ll go directly to my C.V. for all the gnarly details.
What I really enjoy about my second career is that I get to hone my skills at endodontics and, after an estimated 5,000 root canals during my professional life, I think I have a pretty good handle on what to look for and where.
When I’m not diligently searching for MB2s and Middle Mesials, I enjoy bicycling, woodworking, stained glass construction, reading and re-reading Sherlock Holmes, traveling, and ham radio (W9XS).
So please take a look at the rest of the web page to see what I can offer your practice.
